STYLE TIP: Always Vote 🗳 This pic was taken on this past Election Day. This was the look I gave the woman who told me I had to go to another location across town to vote because it was Election Day even though I am a registered voter and had credentials. I pleaded with the woman and let her know I just made the treck from getting my kids and had to get to work and was not going to make it to the polls by the time I finished my clients hair color. She flippantly said, “Then I guess your vote won’t count!” She really said that. Well, I’m glad she did because I made damn sure I got my vote in! When I arrived to the salon and explained the dilemma, my client/friend seemed unaffected by this reasoning because SHE had in fact not voted either. Without going into the particulars, I had to “sell my soul”, (I’m dramatic ok) and do my clients hair at her home😖 If you are a salon professional, I KNOW you feel my pain and what this truly means. So anyway, here is my #IVoted pic! No cute sticker for me...late,but proud, because not only did I vote but my client ended up going to vote too.🙌🏼 I know this because she posted a cute, #ivoted sticker pic.💁🏽‍♀️ VOTE because it’s stylish, vote because you get to be a part of social change, vote to preserve what you believe in....whatever the reason, simply Vote. Hey San Antonio! Want some quick tips for last minute costumes? Tune in to my make up segment tomorrow on @itsagreatdaysa on @kens5 at 9am! This is usually where the post stops..... but here’s a little more info.... I’m gonna be dressed up in costume tomorrow (it’s a surprise so don’t ask, you have to tune in🤷🏽‍♀️) so that means I have to get myself ready at 5am then go to the salon to get my model ready and then after that go to the tv station and get @crisblackwell @romav_tv @kaylin_alex and a couple of others makeup ready too🙈😅🎃 All to go in front of the camera for 5 whole minutes to show you that you can do it too!! 😂 I’m liv’in the dream! 😜 So.. 9am, after four hours of prep... for you to see 5 minutes....See you then✌🏼🧐 #guiltyouintowatchingme #watchtheshow #beautybuzz
There are a lot of pictures of me already in the universe. Well brace yourself cuz here’s another one😜 Except this time I’m across the ✈️ pond standing in front of the Eiffel Tower and thinking that I gave that damn tower a little too much credit. The last time I was in Paris I was 24 years old. I was divorced already with two small children wondering what my next step would be. I was bartending on the weekends I didn’t have my kids, working at Saks full time at NARS, had a tv show I filmed once a week called OLÉ (don’t get excited, they never paid me my last season) and basically doing any side gigs that came my way to make ends meet. Never thought I’d be back here standing in these shoes and come this far only to find out that I’m in love with myself! That when no one else is here for me, I’M here for me 🙋🏽‍♀️ I’d tell my 20 year old self to stop making excuses, stop playing the victim, move on from hurt because that is the only way to start to heal. I’d tell her to eat that plate of pasta and all the chocolate croissants because if not now, when!?😂 ...That it’s ok to cry and a laugh is right around the corner. Be in love with yourself always. Everything else is a bonus. At 40, I may be far from perfect but I am perfectly ok with that. 📷 : Ludmilla Jago

Last year was my third nomination for Makeup Innovator of the Year. I was quickly becoming the Susan Lucci of the @sanantoniofashionawards 😂 Alas I did win.... and when I went on stage I said, “Well it’s about damn time.” 😂😂 I said some other good stuff but I didn’t really prepare a speech so that’s what came out first! 🤷🏽‍♀️ I want to thank everyone who took a moment to vote for me this year and also wish all of my peers and the rest of the nominees good luck tonight. Enjoy every moment, because it goes by so fast! Here are a few candids of me in Rome last year at the @elisabettafranchi boutique. (Man, would you listen to me.... in Rome... at Elizabetta Francheees 😂) Anyway, I didn’t know what to wear and just happened upon this designer who I am forever obsessed with. I highly recommend snapping photos from all angles when shopping. Three way mirrors are also helpful.
